FOUNDATION
This is Engineering Physics, a Basic Science department, entry to all the engineering programmes taught in Techno Main Salt Lake. It saw the first light on 5th September, 2001, when the institute, then Techno India Salt Lake, started its journey.
Affiliated to MAKAUT, the West Bengal state university of technology, learning-teaching here has evolved to adopt international protocol. Currently all the proceedings are outcome based and follow Washington Accord.
The campus is located at sector V, Salt Lake, the Silicon Valley of Kolkata. One can visit Engineering Physics office and laboratories on the 4th floor, phase III building, block EM 4/1 and meet with the staff members any time . The exact location of the institute in a satellite map is as follows.
RESOURCE
An equipped team of scholarly faculties deal with all the aspects of learning-teaching in the department. Running laboratories are also maintained by technical staff.

The department possesses a lot of material assets. First and second semester students from a handful of programmes take theory classes in well equipped class rooms. Practical classes are taken in three laboratories. Plenty of apparatus are used in the labs. Students’ projects with their own critical thinking are motivated as per the protocol.
SPECIFICATION
As several hundred students take their classes each week, workloads and time management follow strict regulation. Learning-teaching is dealt professionally with sophisticated methodology. As long as the regulatory framework is followed, students dealing is well organised, smooth and prompt. Students can easily explore through the educational method, online archive of study material and also the online desks of individual faculties.
